KimoKawaii Anime Experience & Convention Code of Conduct

KimoKawaii is a welcoming, creative, and family-friendly space for anime and pop culture fans. Everyone attending, exhibiting, performing, volunteering, or working at the event agrees to follow this Code of Conduct. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone can enjoy the event safely and respectfully.

Respect Everyone

All attendees, guests, vendors, artists, volunteers, staff, and partners are expected to treat each other with kindness and respect. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, intimidation, stalking, or threatening behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

This includes, but is not limited to:
Offensive comments or jokes
Slurs or hateful language
Unwanted attention or repeated contact
Following someone after being asked to stop
Blocking someone's movement
Threatening or aggressive behavior
Disruptive behavior that negatively impacts others

Harassment may be determined based on the impact of the conduct, the circumstances surrounding the behavior, and the experience of the person affected. A lack of intent does not excuse behavior that violates this Code of Conduct.

Ask First

Respect personal boundaries.

Always ask before:
Taking someone's photo
Recording someone
Touching someone's costume
Touching someone's props
Hugging or making physical contact

Cosplay is not consent.

A costume, character, or appearance is never an invitation for unwanted attention or physical contact.
